PAP 68: Cinnamon Morrissey – Passion to Product – the EveryMite Story
Friday Oct 18, 2019
Friday Oct 18, 2019
Cinnamon Morrissey, is the product developer and business owner of EveryMite, the allergy-friendly super spread.
Cinnamon and her husband have three sons. Cinnamon is a professionally trained social worker with no prior business training or experience; working in state government for her working career.
After having her third child William, who has Down Syndrome and numerous food intolerances, Cinnamon discovered she needed allergy-friendly nutrient-dense products for William that he could safely eat.
For example, William loved Vegemite but had to stop eating it as he was intolerant to its ingredients and was causing him ongoing gut issues. Cinnamon discovered that there were no alternatives to Vegemite William could safely eat. So over three years with a passion for cooking and creativity, Cinnamon experimented with creating one. EveryMite is the result of these years of development, and now William has a Vegemite-like spread he loves and thrives on.
When the word spread that this alternative existed, Cinnamon discovered that EveryMite was in demand. As such, she started a business from scratch to manufacture EveryMite and distribute it around Australia so everyone could access EveryMite to make their life easier too.
EveryMite is now available in most health food stores around Australia, with its demand increasing everyday as people with food intolerances learn there is a Vegemite alternative they can safely eat. Cinnamon has even found that people who don’t have food intolerances love EveryMite because it gives them a healthier spread – one that is preservative-free and nutrient-dense.
Cinnamon knows how difficult it is to have a son with serious food intolerances and gut issues.
As such, EveryMite’s purpose is to make life easier for people with a food allergy or intolerance.
EveryMite’s motto is to “Spread on a Smile, everyday” with EveryMite.
EveryMite has three versions now available- The Original, Low Aussie Salt, and Fodmap Friendly- which means that almost anyone can eat EveryMite.

PAP 64: Addiction with Tamala Ridge
Friday Aug 23, 2019
Friday Aug 23, 2019
On today’s show I am joined by my good friend Tamala who is an Addictions Specialist, empowering women to overcome their self-sabotaging habits-so that they can hold space for themselves and others with a higher level of integrity in order to increase their income, influence and impact.
If you keep coming ‘undone’ on your health journey, or keep self sabotaging yourself, the key to success and freedom is to understand WHY.
Can you conceive that we are more addicted to the come down than to the high? Sounds crazy right, but it is true and Tam is going to explain why.
I think you will experience some major a ha moments listening to this!
Food and drug addiction are simply physical manifestations of an addiction to stress or to be more exact to fear…
our addictions are simply trying to turn off our stress response – the wind down wine – but they ultimately feed the stress response through the come down – the hangover
Our cells are physiologically addicted to adrenalin and cortisol
What we want to do is to become more addicted to oxytocin – love vs fear,
through our 4 connection strategies – self, others, earth and spirit – there aint no come down from these babies!!
But fear will ultimately rise again to be fed – and this is where mindfulness and EFT are so important as tools to overcome addiction.
We are more addicted to our fearful thoughts than we are to sugar!!
You can get a Free Masterclass from Tam on “The Root Cause of all Addiction and How to Overcome it ” here.
After having been a drug and alcohol counsellor for over 10 years – Tam realised that we have all been focusing on the wrong thing – that we are more addicted to the come-down than to the high! She has developed her own groundbreaking, earth shaking – completely upside down way of working with addiction and is having incredible results.

Friday Aug 09, 2019
Friday Aug 09, 2019
There is so much more to Kim Morrison than meets the eye. Tenacity is probably the first word that comes to mind. Her journey and all she has accomplished to date has all stemmed from her unwavering self-belief and her deep understanding that you must also take care of yourself first and foremost.
Kim set a world record as the youngest female to run 100miles in less than 24 hours in 1989. 68 year old world record holder Cliff Young was her mentor at the time and to this day lives by his ethos that success is 90% mental and 10% physical. She has used her running story as a direct metaphor for life – riding the highs, hitting the walls, pushing through the pain barriers, crossing the line and never, ever giving up!
Kim believes it is your inner power, passion and commitment and having truckloads of self-belief that distinguishes you as an achiever. It’s about visualising your dream and going for it – regardless of the feedback you receive or the challenges you face. As a 5 times best-selling author, creative director of Twenty8, aromatherapist, health and lifestyle educator and a multi-tasking mum and wife, Kim is someone who shares her essential tools for self-care, discipline, leadership and teamwork and most of all the importance of the art of self love.

PAP 61: Rachel Favilla – Periods Poo & Glorious You
Friday Jul 12, 2019
Friday Jul 12, 2019
Today I am joined by Nutritionist Rachel Favilla, author of Periods Poo & Glorious you to discuss an alternative way to approach health and wellness!
If you are over the dogma, the black and whiteness and the downright bullshit of regimes and diets and are ready for a fresh approach that involves FUN & HUMOUR then check out this episode!
Rach says: Howdy Sweet Spuds! I’m Rachie; Nutritionist, Hatha Yoga Teacher, and Author of the playful, cheeky and eclectic ‘health and lifestyle’ (for lack of a better, less-cliched term for such a genre) book; Periods, Poo and A Glorious You. My mission is to demonstrate – through being my daggy, down-to-earth self – that ‘wellness’ (man, is THAT word overused nowadays) needn’t be stereotypical or obligatory. Optimising happiness by nourishing all corners of your life is fun, as is preventing disease by having enough self respect to care for your mind-blowingly loyal body. I’m a food nerd and yoga-addict who proves by example that nurturing one’s self is wildly entertaining and ridiculously gratifying.
You can buy Rachel’s book on our Online Shop

Krissy Ballinger shares some actionable tips for those on a mission to live a natural life free from avoidable toxins. DIY has never been so simple and achievable – even I am going to make the washing powder!
Krissy says:
The Inspired Little Pot was born from my desire to understand and reduce the toxins I was exposing my children to. When I started this journey, it happened quite quickly. Once I learned information about a particular chemical or the contents of a mainstream product, I couldn’t unlearn it.
This led to a whirlwind of research, recipe-experimentation, testing, tweaking and refinement. It didn’t take me long to realise that I was able to achieve almost the same results with recipes made from natural ingredients as I was from the mainstream products I used to buy. Yes, I was putting in a little more effort than when I was visiting the supermarket beauty and cleaning aisles, but I was (and still am) okay with that. It is so worth it. Plus, I now know we simply need less, and we save so much money.
The Inspired Little Pot is more than a business or a brand. It’s about awareness, education, and empowerment, it’s about simplicity, a natural existence and thriving health. We want to spread this message far and wide: let’s be conscious consumers and advocate for our health, and for the health of future generations from whom we borrow this planet; let’s not wait for someone else to create change, let’s stand up and do it for ourselves.
You can fine Krissy’s website here: www.theinspiredlittlepot.com.au and follow her on social media as The Inspired Little Pot.

PAP 59: Bek Daley – I Hate Cooking!
Friday Jun 14, 2019
Friday Jun 14, 2019
Clean living is amazing right? You can transform how you look and feel JUST by changing what is on the end of your folk!
But….it’s so bloody time consuming! All of that shopping, planning, prepping, chopping, cooking…with no guarantee that the kids will even eat it!
That means that maintaining this kind of lifestyle can be just way too stressful and overwhelming for many.
There are working Mums running in the door at 7pm, starting to make dinner from scratch. There are women struggling with health conditions trying to muster the energy to cook for the family…yet again!
Bek Daley has spent her life helping others. She is a Mum from Brisbane QLD and founder of I H8 Cooking!
Bek has a national network of home cooks who come to your home and cook, like a cleaner comes and cleans.
I have been following Bek out of professional interest – after all she has created a vaguely similar model to my Primalista Baking Licence. This is a model where women who love cooking with their Thermomix, can earn an income by helping others.
When I saw she had a cook in Albany, where I live – I had to give it a whirl! All I can say is. – life changing! I didn’t realise how much I needed an extra hand. Having an I H8 Cooking Cook come to my house once a fortnight has given me space to breath and heal and my freezer is full of amazing primal aligned meals ready to go.
This isn’t an advertisement for I H8 Cooking at all – this isn’t sponsored. This is just a company I love and I wanted to interview founder Bek to see how she started her biz and how it works to share with you.
I hope that this will inspire you to get started on that dream of yours, or will help you get some assistance with the daily household chores.
You can find out more about I H8 Cooking here.
On their website you can check out their menus, there are lots of primal and low carb options and you can specify if you have special dietary requirements.
You can even find out more about joining the I H8 Cooking team!
To find out about Primal Alternative and to browse our range and learn more about becoming a Primalista head here: www.primalalternative.com
